This looks like a very cool game! I like roguelike games like nethack and Zelda. This seems very similar! If you wouldn't mind, would you check out my game? Thanks!
However, I noticed that the sprites are blurry. Assuming that you are using Unity, in the sprite options, consider setting the FILTER to point(no filter)
I am actually using ren'py. This is only a prototype so the rooms aren't that big. This is why I zoomed in a little bit too much on the 16-bits sprites, whoops.
I thought so, but prefered getting a working build out to get some feedback before spending too much time implementing variety. Nearly all the bacics to do that are there though.

Although I will say, the art is very good, but the game gets a little repetitive.
Consider making more items and bigger, more interesting levels. The karma factor is pretty cool though.
